Denver metro knowledge. Nationwide vehicle shipping.
Denver Auto Transport & Car Shipping.
Shipping a vehicle to or from Denver is usually a nationwide move, not a trip across town. Summit Auto Transport combines more than 15 years of vehicle-shipping experience with firsthand knowledge of the Denver metro area. After spending roughly 20 years in Denver, we understand the traffic, street access and carrier-routing problems that can turn a simple pickup into a difficult one. We coordinate the Denver end of the shipment and the nationwide carrier market as one move, with realistic pricing and direct communication from quote through delivery.

Denver is a strong carrier market, but access still matters
Denver pickup and delivery requires more planning than a map pin.
A car carrier may be 70 feet or longer once the tractor and loaded trailer are considered. That vehicle cannot safely use every street a passenger car can. Summit plans the handoff around the actual neighborhood, traffic pattern and truck access instead of promising literal doorstep service where it does not make sense.
CAP
Capitol Hill
Capitol Hill can be difficult for large carriers because of narrow residential streets, cars parked along both sides, mature trees, limited turning space and dense traffic. A nearby accessible meeting point is often safer than forcing the transporter onto the exact residential block.
HLD
Highlands
The Highlands combines older neighborhood streets, heavy parking, redevelopment, restaurants and constant local traffic. Carrier access can change block by block. We coordinate the pickup around where a full-size transporter can actually enter, stop and load.
DT
Downtown Denver
Downtown adds loading restrictions, garages, one-way streets, construction, pedestrians and very little room for a long transporter to wait. Meeting outside the densest core is frequently faster for both the customer and driver.
BDWY
South Broadway
South Broadway and surrounding neighborhoods can be challenging because of traffic, parked vehicles and constrained side streets. The practical solution is often a wider nearby commercial area rather than an exact storefront or residential address.
ART
Major Arterials
Broadway, Colfax and Colorado Boulevard can be heavily congested for much of the day. They are useful routes through the city, but they are not always good places for a transporter to stop and load. Timing and the exact meeting point matter.
HWY
I-25, I-70 & I-76
Denver rush hour is no longer a short morning and evening event. I-25, I-70 and I-76 can be slow well beyond traditional commute windows. Carrier ETAs need to account for real traffic instead of pretending the truck can cross the metro at passenger-car map speed.
Door-to-door, when the door works for the truck
A nearby meeting point can be better than forcing a carrier down the wrong street.
Door-to-door auto transport means the carrier gets as close to the requested addresses as safely and legally practical. In much of suburban Denver that can be the residence itself. In dense neighborhoods, apartment complexes, downtown streets or areas with low branches and tight turns, a nearby commercial lot or wide accessible road can be the better handoff. The objective is convenience without creating an unsafe loading situation or blocking traffic.
STEP 01
Confirm the Address
We look at the actual pickup or delivery location, not just the ZIP code. Residential access, apartments, gated communities, trees, street parking and construction can change the plan.
STEP 02
Choose a Practical Handoff
If the carrier cannot reasonably reach the exact address, we coordinate an accessible nearby location with room to enter, turn, stop and load the vehicle.
STEP 03
Coordinate Around Traffic
Denver congestion can change arrival timing quickly. We keep the customer and carrier connected rather than treating an ETA as a guaranteed appointment minute.
Flying through DEN?
A customer-arranged FINE Airport Parking handoff can simplify airport travel.
For customers flying into or out of Denver International Airport, Summit can coordinate a vehicle shipment around a customer-arranged valet parking handoff at FINE Airport Parking near DEN. This can be far more convenient than trying to coordinate a large transport carrier at the airport terminal itself.
OUT
Flying Out of Denver
The customer can make a reservation with FINE, leave the vehicle with their valet operation, and continue to the airport. Summit can then coordinate the transport pickup from the parking facility after the customer has left.
IN
Flying Into Denver
The process can also work in reverse. A transported vehicle can be delivered to the parking facility so the customer can retrieve it through the valet operation after arriving in Denver.
PAY
Parking Is Separate
FINE parking, valet and related charges are arranged and paid directly by the customer and are not included in Summit Auto Transport's transport quote. Summit coordinates the transport around the customer's parking arrangement.
Why this works
The airport does not need to become the carrier meeting point.
FINE's Denver facility offers valet parking and continuous airport shuttle service, giving traveling customers a practical place to separate the flight schedule from the carrier schedule. That flexibility is useful when a vehicle needs to move while the owner is already traveling.

Denver metro service
Nationwide shipping from Denver, Aurora and the surrounding metro area.
Denver-area vehicle shipping is normally an interstate move. Summit coordinates outbound and inbound shipments throughout the metro, including Denver, Aurora, Lakewood, Arvada, Westminster, Thornton, Centennial, Englewood, Littleton, Highlands Ranch, Parker, Castle Rock and nearby Front Range communities. For moves farther south, see our Colorado Springs auto transport guide. The exact pickup location matters, but the carrier market is driven by the full origin-to-destination lane.
OUT
Denver to Other States
Relocations, seasonal moves, online purchases and family vehicles regularly leave Denver for California, Texas, Florida, Arizona, the Pacific Northwest, Midwest and East Coast. We price and dispatch around the actual nationwide lane.
IN
Other States to Denver
Inbound moves include vehicle purchases, relocations, auction vehicles, collector cars, student vehicles and specialty builds. We coordinate the out-of-state origin and Denver delivery as one shipment.
MNT
Denver as a Mountain Handoff
For some mountain destinations, Denver can be the practical carrier handoff point when weather, road geometry or low carrier density makes direct mountain service difficult. The right plan depends on the actual destination and equipment.
Choose equipment around the vehicle
Denver has access to a broad carrier market, but the vehicle still determines fit.
A stock commuter car, restored collector vehicle, lifted truck, overland rig and non-running auction purchase do not belong on the same equipment automatically. Summit uses the actual vehicle condition, dimensions and priorities to decide which part of the carrier market makes sense.
OPEN
Open Auto Transport
Open auto transport is the normal starting point for most running cars, trucks and SUVs. Denver's location on major interstate corridors generally gives open carriers good access to nationwide lanes.
ENC
Enclosed Auto Transport
Enclosed transport can make sense for collector, exotic, restored, very low-clearance and high-value vehicles when reducing normal road exposure is worth the additional cost.
MOD
Modified & Lifted Vehicles
Lift, larger tires, wheel offset, armor and bumpers can change capacity and loading geometry. Our modified vehicle transport process uses actual build details instead of factory specifications.
OVR
Overland Vehicles
Rooftop tents, awnings, racks, rear carriers and extra weight can change trailer fit. See our overland vehicle transport guidance for built rigs.
LC
Land Cruisers
Summit's Land Cruiser transport specialty is especially relevant in Colorado, where stock classics and fully built expedition trucks are common.
DLR
Dealer & Auction Transport
Dealer and auction transport adds release numbers, pickup hours, keys, lot access and storage deadlines to the normal carrier coordination.
Denver car shipping cost
Pricing follows the route and carrier market, not a generic Denver rate chart.
There is no honest fixed price for every vehicle leaving Denver. A Denver-to-Dallas running sedan, Denver-to-Miami SUV, enclosed collector car to Los Angeles, and lifted truck headed to a rural destination all reach different parts of the carrier market. Distance matters, but so do vehicle size, operability, equipment, timing, season, pickup access and current lane demand.
What changes the quote
The lowest number is useful only if a qualified carrier will accept the shipment.
Questions Denver customers ask before shipping a vehicle.
These answers focus on the parts of Denver vehicle shipping that actually affect the move: carrier access, nationwide routes, equipment, airport travel and realistic pricing.
Denver vehicle shipping prices depend on the full route, vehicle size and condition, open or enclosed equipment, pickup flexibility, season, and current carrier demand. Summit prices the actual shipment rather than publishing a fixed rate that may not reflect the live carrier market.
Often yes, but not every Denver street is practical for a full-size auto transporter. Capitol Hill, the Highlands, downtown, South Broadway and other dense areas can have tight streets, parked cars, low branches, traffic and limited turning room. When needed, Summit coordinates a nearby accessible meeting point.
Yes. For customers flying through DEN, Summit can coordinate around a customer-arranged valet parking handoff at FINE Airport Parking near the airport. The customer makes and pays for the parking or valet reservation separately; those charges are not included in Summit's transport quote.
Yes. Summit coordinates nationwide vehicle shipping from Denver and the surrounding metro area to destinations across the United States, as well as inbound shipments coming to Denver from other states.
Yes. Lift, tire size, roof racks, rooftop tents, armor, awnings, rear carriers and added weight can change carrier fit. Summit uses actual vehicle dimensions and build details to match the vehicle with appropriate equipment.
Open transport is the normal choice for most everyday vehicles and offers the broadest carrier market. Enclosed transport can be appropriate for collector, restored, exotic, very low-clearance or high-value vehicles. The right choice depends on the vehicle and priorities, not simply the city.
Summit can coordinate a nearby wide commercial lot, accessible arterial, or other safe meeting point that gives the carrier room to enter, turn and load without forcing a large truck into a congested residential street.
