Total Vehicle Height
A lifted Cruiser with roof equipment can be substantially taller than factory specifications. We want the actual height before carrier selection.
From stock classics to heavily outfitted expedition builds, Summit coordinates transportation around the Cruiser you actually own. Lift, tires, roof equipment, armor, weight, dimensions and operability can all affect carrier selection and placement.

Start with the normal vehicle and route information. If your Cruiser is lifted, heavily outfitted, non-running or unusually tall or heavy, we will confirm those details before carrier assignment.
A make-and-model quote cannot tell whether your Cruiser is stock or carrying steel bumpers, a winch, sliders, a rear swing-out, drawers, oversized tires and a rooftop tent. Those changes can add meaningful height, width and weight and can affect which carrier can legally and practically take the vehicle.
The point is not to make a modified Cruiser sound difficult to ship. It is to gather the right information before dispatch so the carrier arrives prepared for the actual vehicle.
Summit Auto Transport is a licensed vehicle transport broker. We do not pretend the truck belongs to us. We identify and coordinate the motor carrier, review operating authority and insurance information, communicate the actual vehicle specifications before dispatch, and remain your point of contact through delivery.
A small selection from years of Land Cruisers Summit Auto Transport has coordinated across the country, from stock classics to heavily outfitted expedition builds. No marketing labels are needed. The range of vehicles tells the story.

A lifted Cruiser with roof equipment can be substantially taller than factory specifications. We want the actual height before carrier selection.
Steel armor, bumpers, winches, drawers, fuel, spare tires and recovery equipment add up. Multi-car carriers have total and axle-weight limits.
Large tires and aftermarket wheels can increase height and width. A vehicle on 35s or 37s should not be quoted as though it were stock.
Racks, tents, awnings, traction boards, antennas and storage systems change real dimensions and should be included in the quote. See our overland vehicle transport guidance for build-specific planning.
A non-running Cruiser is transportable, but rolling, steering and braking condition should be known before the carrier arrives. More heavily altered projects also fall under our modified vehicle transport process.
A restored FJ, imported model or high-value restomod may justify enclosed transport. We explain the options rather than automatically upselling one method.
Both are legitimate options. The better choice depends on the vehicle, value, route, timing and amount of exposure you are comfortable with. See the full open auto transport and enclosed auto transport guidance when you want to compare the equipment and tradeoffs in more detail.
Over the years, Summit Auto Transport has coordinated vehicle transportation for Land Cruiser specialists, off-road manufacturers, dealerships and companies throughout the Cruiser community.

Owned, driven, wrenched on, researched, obsessed over. Summit's connection to Land Cruisers didn't start with this website, it started years ago in the same community your truck comes from. That's who's coordinating your shipment. Summit is based in Fort Collins, and local Cruiser moves can also start with our Fort Collins auto transport guidance.

We evaluate the route and carrier market and coordinate a motor carrier whose equipment and capacity fit the actual vehicle.
Summit remains your contact while the motor carrier performs the physical transportation, from assignment through final delivery.
Tell us what is stock, what has been changed and where it needs to go. We will coordinate the carrier around the actual vehicle.
